BARBERA D’ASTI DOCG SUPERIORE

Originates out of Barbera grapes grown in certain parts of the province of Asti, in limey, clayey and sandy soil. La Baudria, our special selection of Barbera d’Asti Superiore, is a wine of great personality and complexity, underlined by ageing in oak or chestnut barrels. 

COLOUR
An intense shade of red.

BOUQUET
Smooth, complex bouquet revealing fragrances of wild berries, plum and spices.

FLAVOUR
Dry, round, velvety and full-bodied. Aged in wood to add elegance and smoothness.

ALCOHOL CONTENT
14-14.5% Vol.

Ideal with dishes of bold personality: soup, pasta or rice dishes, roasts, wild game and flavourful cheeses.

MAGNUM BARBARESCO DOCG

 
Made from Nebbiolo grapes grown near Barbaresco, Neive and Treiso: ancient little villages in the Langhe, in the province of Cuneo. Nebbiolo grapes are particularly sensitive to the local climate, producing a wine that is very different from a wine that might be made from the same grape planted elsewhere. Barbaresco must be aged for at least 26 months, including 9 months in wood.

COLOUR
Red, tending toward garnet with ageing.

BOUQUET
Ethereal, pleasantly intense, containing hints of fruit, spices and leather.

FLAVOUR
Robust, austere, but velvety and harmonious, with pleasing tannins.

ALCOHOL CONTENT
14% Vol.

PAIRINGS
Perfect with prestigious dishes such as roast meats, wild gameand aged cheeses.

MAGNUM BAROLO DOCG

 
Universally considered the king of the wines of Piedmont, Barolo is made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in a limited part of the Langhe, near the town of Barolo. It is aged for at least 3 years, 2 of which are spent in oak or chestnut barrels. Bottles must be stored horizontally in a dry, cool wine cellar. 

COLOUR
Garnet red with orangey highlights.

BOUQUET
Ethereal, pleasing and intense, with spicy notes and hints of worked leather.

FLAVOUR
Full, mouth-filling, full-bodied, with the right amount of tannins.

ALCOHOL CONTENT
14.5% Vol.

PAIRINGS
The ideal accompaniment to main dishes such as roast and braised meats, wild game and aged cheeses.

The best-known DOCG sparkling wine originates with natural fermentation of Moscato grapes harvested in 51 municipalities in the provinces of Asti, Alessandria and Cuneo. An essential part of any celebration, and the perfect conclusion to a dinner in the company of friends.

PERLAGE
Fine and persistent.

Straw yellow with pale gold highlights.

BOUQUET
Typical aroma of Moscato grapes with notes of acacia and wisteria

FLAVOUR
Sweet, aromatic, balanced, with delicate harmonies of peach and apricot.
